Complementary DNA (cDNA)

Typically, DNA -> RNA -> Proteins. However, sometimes it is helpful to reverse some of these reactions: not all DNA is transcribed in the transcription process. DNA transcribed from single-stranded RNA is called Complementary DNA, or cDNA.
